Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before stepping on board with Captain Paolo.

01 - About the experience

Who we are and what we offer

Dreamcatcher Xperience offers a range of private experiences on the Adriatic coast, including big game fishing, offshore bottom fishing, live bait trolling, family fishing trips, panoramic boat tours, dolphin watching, sunset cruises, and custom private experiences around Istria.

Dreamcatcher Xperience is based in Poreč on the west coast of Istria, one of the most beautiful starting points for exploring the Adriatic Sea.

Yes. All Dreamcatcher Xperience trips are private experiences. You will not be grouped together with unknown guests.

Absolutely.

Custom routes, sunset cruises, swimming stops, dolphin watching, fishing combinations, and private experiences can all be arranged depending on your preferences.

Dreamcatcher Xperience is built on real life at sea, local fishing tradition, and authentic Adriatic experiences. This is not just another tourist boat trip. Every tour is designed to give guests a genuine connection with the sea, the coastline, and the lifestyle of Istria.

02 - On the water

The fishing experience

Not at all.

Our trips are designed for everyone, from complete beginners and families with children to experienced anglers looking for serious offshore action.

Most trips include:

  • Professional fishing equipment
  • Bait and tackle
  • Drinks and water
  • En-cas
  • Local guidance from an experienced captain

On longer offshore trips, additional food and refreshments are usually included as well.

Dreamcatcher Xperience works with premium marine and fishing equipment trusted by professional anglers and industry brands worldwide.

The boat is equipped with high-end marine electronics, professional fishing gear, and modern technology designed to provide both safety and the best possible experience on the water.

Captain Paolo is also involved as Pro Staff with brands such as Lowrance Croatia, Honda Marine Croatia, and SeaDek, working closely with equipment and technology used daily at sea in real-world conditions.

Depending on the season and trip type, common target species include:

  • Bluefin tuna
  • Dentex
  • Bonito
  • False albacore
  • Mahi mahi
  • Mackerel
  • Scorpion fish
  • Common pandora
  • Various offshore bottom species from reefs and wrecks

The Adriatic around Poreč offers excellent fishing opportunities throughout the season.

No professional charter can guarantee a catch.

Fishing depends on weather, sea conditions, season, and fish activity. However, we always do our best to give guests the highest possible chance of success using local knowledge, quality equipment, and real fishing experience.

Dreamcatcher Xperience is primarily focused on the experience itself, quality fishing, and respect for the sea. In most cases, the catch remains property of the charter and is part of the operational side of professional fishing trips.

Depending on the species, regulations, and the type of trip, the captain may occasionally decide to share part of the catch with guests, but this is not standard practice and cannot be guaranteed.

Certain protected species are strictly catch and release in accordance with local regulations.

Safety always comes first.

If sea or weather conditions are unsafe, the trip can be rescheduled or cancelled with an agreed solution together with the guests.

03 - Group size & guests

Who can come on board

For the best comfort and fishing experience, our fishing trips are ideally designed for up to 3 guests. Additional guests can join for an extra charge depending on the trip type.

For safety, comfort, and proper assistance from the captain, the maximum number of fishing rods used at the same time is limited to 4. This allows the captain to properly assist everyone on board, especially when handling larger fish, hooks, and potentially dangerous or venomous species.

Our panoramic tours, dolphin watching trips, sunset cruises, and private boat experiences can accommodate up to 8 guests comfortably on board.

Yes. Family-friendly fishing and panoramic tours are perfect for children, beginners, couples, and anyone looking to enjoy a relaxed day at sea around Poreč.
